Are You Interested in Serving with Chattanooga YoungLives?
Here are the different opportunities!
Mentoring
At the core of YoungLives is mentoring, where mentors connect with teenage mothers, offering guidance on faith, parenting, and personal growth. YoungLives mentors serve as positive role models, encouraging teen moms to become the women and mothers God created them to be. Mentors are expected to have a personal relationship with Jesus, spend time weekly with the teen moms and their children, attend a monthly club gathering, join monthly mentor meetings, and provide transportation to and from YoungLives events.
Providing a Meal
One of the ways we show love and care for the needs of the moms and babies is through meals. We are always looking for small groups or families that would be willing to provide meals for our monthly get togethers. From providing breakfast for one of our parenting groups or dinner for our club meeting or park playdate. We are so grateful for the groups that show love to YoungLives through providing meals!
Childcare Volunteer
We are always searching for childcare volunteers that are willing to love on babies for our monthly club meetings. Our childcare volunteers allow us to offer a memorable club experience and build stronger relationships with the moms we serve. Through showing the love of Jesus to our little ones, you are making an impact in both the lives of the babies you care for and the moms that get to see the love that is shown to their children.
Financial Support
YoungLives could not exist without the generosity of our financial partners. Through the outpouring of their generosity, we are able to walk into lives of adolescent moms all across Chattanooga and surrounding areas. If you feel called to partner with YoungLives through financial giving, please click on the “donate” button at the top of this page.
Donating Baby Items
YoungLives is always in need of baby items. Our biggest needs are unused items like diapers, wipes, and formula. We are also in need of gently used baby clothes and items (car seats, strollers, toys, high chairs, bassinets, etc.). We have a “store” open at club meetings a few times a year where girls can pick out a few items that they need. We also like to have these items on hand to fill urgent needs as they arise.
